The Alejandro Diaries: Sunday, May 19th

It is by the goodness of God that in our country we have those three unspeakably precious things: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the prudence to practice neither. -Mark Twain, author and humorist (1835-1910)

Have fun and say hi to everyone. Wayne

Hi Sarge! Time to start making the salad for tonight's dinner. Orders from The Drama Queen! Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Bob!Trust you are well and enjoying long weekend! Hope I have time to look at your postings before we head out to run a number of errands. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Beatricce!

Lovely to chat with you yesterday. Hope your evening went well, sipping wine by the sun dappled pool! If you are able to join us, any time around 6:00pm. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Patrick, I'd love to see you all again so I'll leave Pasadena @6pm and we can catch up for a couple of hours, then I'll leave by 8pm if that's OK. Trice

Hi Beatricce! Grand that you can come! Why don't call when close as we'll arrange to have parking for you. Leave whenever it suits you. That is fine. Just delighted that you are coming.

Returned from swimming at Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Aquatic Center a few moments ago. Lovely pool for laps and Seniors are free! Cora Lee had her nails and toes done nearbye, (Mother's Day present from Ayn.), while I was exercising.  I met Ayn at Trader Joe's just after 3:00pmand we walked to Westfield Mall to stroll around a bit while waiting for Coriandre's toes to dry! I wanted to ask a couple of questions about the MacBook Air as I think I'd like to have it before our trip in July. Will probably order it online once back home as one can have it engraved if purchased in this manner. Talk to you soon. Cheers, Patrizzio!           Ok will do Trice

Hi Elly and Antonio! Trust you are both well. When are coming to Vancouver? Fondestos to you both from Cora Lee. Cheers, Patrizzio!

I met Jean back in 1970 aboard the Empress of Canada when I was returning to Canada after traveling in Europe. Jean herself was planning to travel across the US and Canada. We became good friends although we lost touch for more than thirty years. Through social media we reconnected and on a trip to Montreal in about 2004 she stopped in Vancouver and we saw each other a number of times over the course of her stay.

Jean has always had a passion for travel and as such knows very well what other travelers need and would enjoy in terms of comfortable, inviting accommodation. I know that any place she might offer would be more than a home away from home. Cheers, Patrick Dunn!

Hi Jean! I have rented a house in Neffiès, Languedoc-Roussillon, for month of September. Will you be in Nice then? Penny is thinking about coming to stay.   Fondestos to you and from Cora Lee. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Thank you for your kind recommendation I gather you host on AirBNB. Hope it works out, seems good so far. Quite a different life to Tokyo ( understatement of the year)
In Nice now, must .... Just come back from Tokyo/Dubai - how far from NICE?
Hi again, Jean!

No, we actually haven't hosted via AirBNB yet, although we have stayed at a number of their listings in 2010, in Berlin and Amsterdam. Nice is about 300 km from Neffiès, four hours or so by car, I gather. Next door!!! Cheers, Patrizzio!

Will check it out travel mode. What dates are...

Hi Patrick, Have a wonderful time in LA and then in MA. It must have been nice to start in a brand new Junior High. Heeheeheee.

Hi again, Robert! I dedicated cornerstone! Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Lads! Trust you are both enjoying the long weekend. Sorry to tell you that the weather here is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Blue sky and sunny and comfortably warm!!! Cheers, Patrizzio!

Pat,
You're as busy as ever, I see. It's actually been a lovely afternoon here after a very cool morning. I've also kept busy with a bit of cycling to tutoring this morning followed by washing and onto the line in the sun, gardening and a workout. Managed to make myself some reasonable pizza for dinner which included broccoli, peppers, onions, mushrooms, artichokes, tomatoes, and some cheese varieties - not bad at all. While gardening, I had a humming bird hovering around me for several seconds. I thought it was going to land on my shoulder. Such a beautiful, little bird.

Haven't been in contact with Sylvia. She phoned yesterday, Skyped today but our times were off. She , Jenny, and Sean spent the weekend in Norfolk with friends. Phil, a former paratrooper is an amazing cook and Sylvia said that his skills had not diminished. He and Anne are wonderful hosts.
Must head out to the airport to pick up Dave and Judith arriving on the 8:54 flight from Cranbrook. Intending to spend the tomorrow with them, probably up to Horseshoe and maybe Cypress, all motor assisted of course. Need to dash.
Ray

Hi Pat A friend told me about this fellow's venture; heard of him? Cheers Colin
